Can you boost 5G signal indoors?
Most 5G in India runs on high frequencies (3.3–3.6 GHz, band n78) that struggle to pass through walls, so 5G often drops as soon as you step inside. SIGLIFT boosters do not amplify these 5G bands. They amplify the 4G/LTE bands – 850, 900, 1800, 2100 and 2300 MHz, depending on the model – that 5G phones in India fall back to indoors and use for voice calls (VoLTE).
So even when 5G disappears indoors, your phone stays on a strong 4G signal: clear calls and steady data instead of call drops and “No service”.
How 5G phones use 4G indoors
- Calls: most calls on 5G phones in India are carried over 4G (VoLTE). A weak 4G signal means cracking voice and dropped calls, even on the latest phone.
- Staying connected: when 5G is weak or missing indoors, the phone switches to 4G. A strong 4G signal keeps browsing, UPI payments and WhatsApp working.
- Every operator: Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL all run 4G networks that SIGLIFT models are matched to.
Which SIGLIFT booster suits a 5G phone?
Choose by your operator’s 4G bands, not by your phone. Jio users usually need a model with 850 or 2300 MHz; Airtel, Vi and BSNL users a model with 900, 1800 or 2100 MHz. Compare booster models, or send us a screenshot of your phone’s network info on WhatsApp and our team will confirm the right kit.
What a booster will not do
A booster cannot create 5G coverage or raise speeds beyond what your nearest tower provides. If you get at least one or two bars of 4G on your roof or balcony, a booster can bring that signal indoors. For the fastest 5G data indoors, a 5G home router placed near a window is the better tool – a booster makes sure calls and everyday data work everywhere else in the building.
